Veterans Hit Especially Hard with Asbestos-related Illnesses

Tens of thousands of workers have been exposed to asbestos and are just now suffering from its' ill effects because of the long latency period that most serious asbestos related illnesses. Veterans of the Vietnam War were also especially affected with asbestos exposure because the Navy had asbestos aboard most of the ships from World War II up through the Vietnam War.
