Asbestos Complaint Filed by Estate of Floridian

The estate of a man who once lived in Florida has filed a suit against 12 defendant corporations for alleged asbestos exposure.

According to the suit, the man’s exposure to asbestos at work and his development of mesothelioma, which eventually led to his early death, was preventable.

Man Exposed at Work

Mitchael Gonzales was reportedly employed as a chipper, grinder and welder for several decades during his professional career.

The complaint blames several of his employers such as, Atlas Asbestos Company, Bondex International, Georgia-Pacific and RPM Inc., for exposing Gonzales to asbestos during his employment.

Lawsuit Claims

The lawsuit claims that the defendants knew or should have known that their products contained asbestos fibers and they should have protected their employees from the substance.

The estate also claims the defendants included asbestos in their products even when adequate substitutes were available.
Mesothelioma Takes Former Employee’s Life

The suit claims that as a result of the company’s negligence, Gonzales developed mesothelioma, an illness caused by asbestos exposure.

The estate says that before his death, Gonzales experienced great physical pain and mental anguish.
