A Mesothelioma and Asbestos Information and Treatment Center Resource
A suit was recently filed by a man who claims he was wrongfully exposed to asbestos and as a result has developed an illness.
Thirty companies have been named as defendants in the asbestos lawsuit.
Workplace Exposure
Michael Ray Blake filed the suit claiming that he worked with and around products containing asbestos while employed for FMC Corporation.
Blake claims that he inhaled asbestos and other harmful dusts while at work and, as a result, now has lung cancer.
Former Employee Files Suit
Blake says the defendants should have known that the use of asbestos in their products was harmful.
He is accusing the companies of failing to inform their employees of the dangers and guidelines required when handling asbestos products.
Plaintiff Claims Asbestos Caused Cancer
Blake says he has suffered from loss of wages and earning capacity, loss of quality and enjoyment of life.
Blake is hoping to be fully compensated for his injuries from the suit.
