A worker for an abatement company recently filed a suit against his employer for the exposure and injuries he endured on the job.
The man was employed with the Midwest Asbestos Abatement project and claims he suffered injuries to his hands, lungs and entire body through workplace exposure.
Worker Feels Wronged by Company
Daniel P. Foley has filed the suit against his employer, Solutia Inc., as well as NPN Environmental Engineers Inc.
According to the suit, Foley came in contact with toxic chemicals, gasoline, and large amounts of asbestos while working on a specific project.
Lawsuit Allegations
Foley claims the companies failed to provide proper, safety, fire or engineering consulting personnel in the areas where he was working.
The suit also states the defendants didn’t provide adequate instructions or training for Foley and his co-workers.
Plaintiff Seeks Compensation
The defendants reportedly failed to provide protective clothing, respirators, or gloves for their workers.
Foley is seeking compensation in excess of $200,000 in damages from the defendants for the health complications he now has to endure due to his exposure.
