Suit Claims Companies Conspired Against Asbestos Victims

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

A Texas couple has filed a suit against their previous employers claiming that they conspired to mine, process and sell asbestos products.

The couple claims the companies suppressed information regarding the risks associated with asbestos fibers.

Lawsuit Allegations

Warren Devillier and his wife Rose filed the asbestos lawsuit against A.W. Chesterton and 15 others companies.

The couple is claiming that the defendants knowingly conspired to cause injuries and construed the truth regarding the safety of working with and around asbestos.

“As a result of Devillier’s exposure to asbestos…over his career, he contracted a disease which will one day take his life,” states the suit. “Each defendant bears responsibility in causing plaintiffs’ injuries.”

Couple Seeks Compensation

According to reports, the couple is seeking financial compensation for the exposure and the development of mesothelioma that resulted.

Devillier and his wife hope to be compensated for their physical pain, lost wages and future medical expenses.
