Asbestos Found in Children's Toys

The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization recently discovered asbestos in one of this season’s most wanted Christmas toys.

The asbestos products were discovered through tests done by the organization of the CSI Fingerprint Examination Kit, two brands of clay and spackling paste.

Organization Tests Consumer Products

The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization, which was created to help asbestos victims and their families has reportedly examined hundreds of consumer products over the past 18 months to detect if asbestos is present.

“This is information that consumers and Congress must have because asbestos is lethal and we naively believe that the government is protecting us, when it’s not,” says Linda Reinstein, the group’s co-founder.

Fingerprint Kit Causes Concern

According to the organization, the product that is of most concern is the CSI Fingerprint Examination Kit.

The analysis showed that high levels of asbestos are contained in the white and glow powder.

“We’ve asked our licensee to immediately conduct an independent test in the U.S. for asbestos. If the toy is determined to be unsafe, then we will insist that the licensee remove it from the market,” stated a spokesman from CBS.

Although the manufacturer and distributor of the kit, Planet Toys in New York City, claimed they frequently inspect the toys sent over from China, further investigation is being done.
