CO Man Files Suit on Behalf of Father
A man living in Colorado recently filed an asbestos suit on behalf of his father against 13 defendant corporation for the wrongful illness and death of his father.
The plaintiff’s father was diagnosed with mesothelioma due to asbestos exposure and his family is taking legal action to receive compensation.
Suit Filed for Asbestos Exposure
Steven Dux claims his father, Andres Martinez, was diagnosed with mesothelioma in 2007 due to his wrongful exposure to asbestos.
Martinez reportedly worked as a laborer and heavy equipment operator at various locations throughout the state of Colorado for several decades.
During this time, he was exposed to asbestos, which Dux believes was foreseeable and should have been anticipated by the defendants.
Exposure Causes Mesothelioma
While Martinez was employed with the various defendants, Dux claims he inhaled, ingested and handled asbestos.
His exposure reportedly disfigured him and caused him to develop the fatal form of cancer known as mesothelioma, which eventually took his life.
Seeking Compensation
Dux is seeking compensation in excess of $50,000 and compensatory damage in excess of $100,000 for his father’s pain and suffering.
He is also seeking compensation for his loss and the medical and funeral expenses the family has been burdened with.
