A man living in Boone County, WV, recently filed an asbestos lawsuit against 46 various companies.
The man claims that he was wrongfully exposed to asbestos by the companies and as a result has developed a life altering and fatal illness.
Man Claims Exposure at Work
James Paul Downs recently filed a suit against several companies including two of his previous employers, Ashland Oil Inc., and Dupont.
Downs claims that he was exposed to asbestos and other harmful dusts while employed with the companies.
According to the suit, the companies manufactured, supplied, sold, distributed, and installed products that contained asbestos.
Illness Results from Exposure
Down says that as a result of the asbestos exposure, he has suffered a great deal of pain, has had economic losses, and has had an overall loss of enjoyment of life.
The plaintiff’s wife, Ruth, also claims she has suffered a loss of general services and the companionship of her husband.
