Kentucky Couple Files Asbestos Suit

A couple living in Kentucky recently filed a suit against 14 companies claiming that they are responsible for the illness that the woman developed.

The woman claims that she developed mesothelioma due to the asbestos she was exposed to while employed with the companies.

Woman Claims Second-Hand Exposure

Phyllis Mae and Harold Dean Branham filed the suit against several of Harold’s former employers, including Nitro Industrial Coverings Inc., UB West Virginia and Vimasco Corporation.

The suit claims that Phyllis was exposed to asbestos, which caused her to develop malignant mesothelioma.

Husband Exposed to Asbestos

Harold Branham was employed with CSX Transportation as a railroad fireman and engineer from 1946 to 1991.

During his employment, he was allegedly exposed to products containing asbestos that were used and installed by the defendants.

Phyllis claims that she was exposed to dust brought home by her husband.

In the suit, Harold claims that he lost general services, companionship and society of his wife.
