International symposium focusing on mesothelioma cure

Mesothelioma is a rare cancer associated to asbestos exposure. For decades, there has been an absence of effective treatments for mesothelioma, despite developments in other cancer treatments. Now, the First International Symposium on malignant mesothelioma will convene, as the importance of focusing on research needed to cure mesothelioma continues to gain momentum. The incidence of mesothelioma in the U.S. and globally has increased to what some experts classify to be epidemic proportions.
