A Mesothelioma and Asbestos Information and Treatment Center Resource
The senate recently announced that the first week of April 2008, will be designated as “National Asbestos Awareness Week.”
This week has been set aside as a public health issue, in order to warn and educate people about the dangers of asbestos and risks that have been linked to this potentially fatal material.
ADAO Holds Conference
The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO), which is a nonprofit organization focused on helping asbestos victims and their families to have a voice, will be holding their fourth annual Asbestos Awareness Day Conference.
The conference has been set up to honor the week and what it stands for by better informing the people of America about asbestos and asbestos related illnesses.
Linda Reinstein is the co-founder of the organization and recently lost her husband, Alan, to mesothelioma.
Alan Reinstein previously served as the president of the organization.
Conference Details
At the conference, Reinstein is going to be joined by world renowned experts on asbestos.
The conference is going to be held at the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit, Michigan, and will take place at the beginning of Asbestos Awareness Week.
