A Mesothelioma and Asbestos Information and Treatment Center Resource
A man living in Ohio recently filed a suit against 38 companies after being diagnosed with mesothelioma.
The man claims that the companies produced asbestos –containing materials, which ultimately caused him to develop the illness.
Suit Filed Against Former Employers
David Holter filed the suit last week against his former employers located throughout the Midwest.
Holter reportedly worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber from 1965 to 1979 and claims that during this time he was exposed to the harmful substance, asbestos.
Goodyear has been named as one of the defendants in the lawsuit.
According to the suit, the plaintiff worked as a laborer and maintenance worker for the Goodyear plant.
As part of his job, he was allegedly supposed to tear off insulation, which was covered in asbestos.
Holter Seeks Compensation
Holter says that the plant knew of asbestos exposure, mesothelioma, and asbestosis during his employment, but did nothing to protect their workers.
As a result, he has supposedly incurred medical and hospital bills and suffers from tremendous pain of body and mind.
Holter and wife are seeking compensatory and punitive damages.
