Children Blame Texaco Inc. for Father’s Death

Warren Schroeder’s children are following through with suits against Texaco Inc., for their father’s recent death allegedly due to asbestos exposure.

The Claim

Charles and Russell Schroeder claim that Texaco knowingly and “maliciously” exposed their father to asbestos during his employment with the company.

Warren was employed at the Port Arthur Texaco refinery as an operator and helper when he developed mesothelioma reportedly due to his exposure to harmful chemicals, including asbestos.

The suit has been filed against both Texaco and Michelin North America and claims that the defendant was aware for decades about the existence of asbestos at their plants but still permitted people to work at them.

The suit also claims that the defendants acted with malice by failing to report the existence of asbestos to any of their employees.

Negligence Leads to Loss

Warren’s children are beside themselves with grief due to the recent death of their father from mesothelioma and are determined to receive compensation for their loss.

The suit reports that, “as a result of the aforementioned malice and gross neglect, plaintiffs seek claims including exemplary damages and seek to recover from defendants an amount in excess of the jurisdictional limits of this court.”
