A Mesothelioma and Asbestos Information and Treatment Center Resource
A Texas man and his wife have filed a mesothelioma lawsuit against 39 companies in Kanawha Circuit Court in Charleston, West Virginia.
Theodore Aldeman worked as a pipefitter for nearly four decades—from 1957 to 1990—at Union Carbide. He claims he was exposed to asbestos during his years of employment and now suffers from mesothelioma.
Mesothelioma is a fatal form of lung cancer, the symptoms of which often take decades to manifest. Asbestos exposure is the primary cause of the deadly disease.
In his lawsuit, Aldeman accuses Union Carbide and numerous others of negligence for making, selling, and using asbestos-containing products.
Aldeman’s wife, Nancy, is also suing the defendants for loss of society, companionship and services from her husband.
The couple is seeking unspecified compensatory and punitive damages.
