A woman living in Orange, Texas, recently filed a lawsuit against her benefactor’s previous employer’s claiming he was exposed to asbestos while at work.
The woman has filed the suit against 43 companies and claims they are all responsible for contributing to the man’s sudden death.
Former Welder Suffers
Garland Adams reportedly worked as a welder and machinist for many years at various companies.
During his employment he was responsible for working with and around products that were laced with asbestos.
Adams recently died after suffering from an asbestos related illness.
Defendants Named in Suit
Among the 43 companies that are named in the lawsuit filed by Sherry Hearne, are Lockheed Martin and Zurn Industries.
The suit claims the companies were negligent and failed to adequately test their products or provide their employees with the proper safety gear and equipment.
Hearne is suing for Adams’ pain and suffering, his part and future medical expenses, and his loss of wages.
