Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

A couple living in Houston, TX, recently filed a suit against several chemical and polymer companies for the man’s alleged asbestos exposure.

As a result of his exposure, the man reportedly developed malignant pulmonary cancer.

Suit Allegations

Clyde and Robbie Dempsey have filed a suit against Union Carbide Corporation and several other companies.

The suit claims the companies were negligent and committed conspiracy for exposing Clyde Dempsey to asbestos while he was employed.

The lawsuit also states that Dempsey sustained a multitude of injuries while employed with the companies.

Dempsey reportedly worked as doing industrial plumbing and pipefitting work at the companies throughout Texas.

Plaintiff Diagnosed with Mesothelioma

Dempsey was employed with the companies for a total of 20 years and in 2007 was diagnosed with mesothelioma.

“As a result of Mr. Dempsey’s exposure to asbestos-containing products over his career, he contracted the serious debilitating disease which will someday take his life,” explains the suit.
