West Virginia Man Files Asbestos Suit

A man living in West Virginia recently filed a suit against 42 companies, including three corporations where he worked.

The suit claims that the companies are responsible for exposing him to asbestos at the workplace.

Companies Named in Suit

Charles Edward McLane filed the suit where he named Dupont, Union Carbide, and Goodrich Corporation as defendants.

McLane says that he inhaled asbestos from the products he worked with and around while employed with the companies.

As a result, he has allegedly endured injuries to his lungs, respiratory and cardiovascular systems.

Masks Fail to Protect

Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing, also called 3M, is specifically named in the suit seeing they formerly manufactured asbestos-containing products and dust masks.

McLane says he was told that these masks would protect him from the harmful dusts, but they failed to do so.

Victim Seeking Compensation

McLane believes that the companies named in the suit were negligent for failing to inform him of proper safety precautions and the dangers of asbestos exposure.

He is now seeking compensation for the mental and physical injuries he has endured from the exposure.
