Wyoming Man Files Mesothelioma Suit

A Wyoming man filed a mesothelioma lawsuit against 98 corporations who he believes are responsible for his illness.

The man was employed as a farmer and rancher at various locations throughout Illinois, Wyoming and North Dakota.

Man Accuses Former Employers

Richard Hawley was employed from 1946 to 1999 and claims that his exposure to asbestos was foreseeable and could have been anticipated by the defendants.

Some of the defendants named in the suit include Bondex, CBS, Chrysler, Ford Motor Company and General Motors.

Hawley says that during his employment, he was exposed to and inhaled asbestos that was contained in some of the products that he was working with and around.

Asbestos Included in Products

The plaintiff claims that asbestos was used in many of the products when sufficient substitutions could have been used instead.

He also claims that the defendants failed to inform their employees of any asbestos that they were being exposed to and didn’t provide any safety guidelines.

Victim Suffers From Mesothelioma

Hawley is seeking damages to help pay for the mesothelioma treatment that he now has to endure.

The complaint also states that he “suffers from great physical pain and metal anguish, and also will be hindered and prevented from pursuing his normal course of employment, thereby losing large sums of money.”
